So my friend Jessica who LOVES all the sweets possible always gives me great suggestions on Trader Joe sweets. This past winter season she introduced me to yet another goodie.
Dark Chocolate covered carmels with sea salt on top. Need I say more. This only is in stock during the Holiday season. Mark it down for next Nov/Dec and stock up.
New favorite snack again from Trader Joes. Thanks J for letting me scavenge around in the snack cabinet at your house. Seriously, this is like crack, well Ive never actually had crack, but this is what can easily become an addiction.
I love dark chocolate and almonds. The chocolate has bits of turbinado sugar, (for the one UK reader, it's called demerara over there), which is lighter than brown sugar. It's this crystallized sugar cane that is added into the dark chocolate and gives it sweetness with a little more crunch. But the best part is while your savoring the slightly sweet dark chocolate you'll get dab of sea salt on the tongue that just excites and enhances the whole experience. Again, TJ's does it again. Pure indulgence and great with a nice cherry chocolate Cabernet or Port.
My dear sweet mother fell asleep this morning. She was overwhelmed by all the love and support shown to her over the past month and prior. Her family loved her dearly as did her many spiritual brothers and sisters. She was tired in the end and just wanted to wake up in Paradise. I can’t express how much I will miss talking to her. She was the best momma, she loved me unconditionally. I hope to show a measure of her love and compassion for so many. The day is near, our hope is bright and we will see again a young, smart, spunky, witty and kind woman she was.
Spring? Maybe this week. These are the variety of daffodils growing in the yard. These little happy pale petals make me smile when I drive up and walk to the door.
Sometimes the landscape up here is other worldly. I should have recorded all the bird and frog sounds.
Donut hole dessert with caramel and chocolate sauces. How is this not going to be amazing. And is at @aspirebrewing
