So I completely forgot yesterday was pi-day my mind was distracted on several other things. So this morning I took the fast and easy approach to turnovers. I used store bought puffed pastry and quickly took inventory on all my left over fruit. We had apples and blackberries so I made two different compotes and voila, you have turnovers an homage to pie!!! #piday2018 #piday #turnovers

So with our first ever planted Meyer Lemon tree I gleaned 8 Lemons 🍋. All of which I used for this pie. Honestly I really DISLIKED the book, and would not recommend it. However, I do love the recipe at the end which I have made twice. Your suppose to make a lemon syrup and lemon whipped cream, but seeing as I used all the lemons from my little tree and am too lazy to go buy more it’s just as satisfying having it on its own. I am giving this away to whomever I can, it doesn’t fit in my post detox eating regime. #lemonpie #dessert

Day 4 of detox. It’s not all smoothies (lots of veggies and lean meats too), but the colors for these smoothies are so pretty and all naturally made. Carrots and turmeric in this bad boy. First time getting on the turmeric band wagon, it kind of tastes like cardamom. What are you all using turmeric in? I feel a healthy gluten free turmeric cake coming on.
